Hi WA4 Developers,
Going forward into future versions of WA (Lord willing) could you please implement the ability to export WA4 created animations and projects into "Interactive Lottie Files" that can be added directly to WX5 website projects? Thanks in advance for looking into this and any working and functional implementation of such a feature.
Kind Regards
The Export Of "Interactive" Lottie Files
Yeah, absolutely. With free animation tools like Canva's calvary being given away for free I'm really worried. But there are still things that WA has over the competition which is "Interactive Animation Creation and Ease Of Use".
Incomedia perhaps needs to charge a little more for the software, I'd happily pay an $20-$40 for it if that meant it would help ensure WA future development and keep the dev team happier. And perhaps if they ( Incomedia) did not compete with themselves by allowing Lottie file integration into their website building application WX5 (when they have, and already offer Interactive animation integration with their own WA) it would help, but IMHO its like shooting themselves in their own foot for god sakes. Perhaps just add interactive Lottie file animation export capabilities into WA?
You don't just hand offer your prom date to nearest jock on prom night, its not logical. People may think I'm trying to be funny here but this is about as serious as it gets and what it seems like.
Feel free to chime in any time now Incomedia.

Hello Max and Patrick,
my apologies for not replying sooner, there must have been an error in the forum and no notification for the new post was generated.
I confirm that at the moment no further releases of WebAnimator are scheduled for the near future, unfortunately, but I will report this feedback should the situation change.

Hi ICR,
Thanks for the update, I remain very hopeful on this.
Below is a simplified timeline of the approximate release dates for each version of WA.
2014 ─ WebAnimator 1
│
2015–2016 ─ WebAnimator 2
│
2018–2019 ─ WebAnimator 3
│
2022 ─ WebAnimator 4
Considering how big of a leap the software made from version 3 to version 4, I can only guess that if and when a version 5 is ever developed it’s gonna knock all our socks off and be something quite awesome.
Kind Regards

Hi Max,
thank you for the kind words and for the detailed timeline, it is clear how much you care about WebAnimator and its future.
We want to be transparent: as mentioned in our previous reply, no further development is currently planned for WebAnimator. We should clarify that WebAnimator is developed by a third-party software house, so the decision on future updates is ultimately not ours to make. We are as hopeful as you are that the situation may change.
In the meantime, for animation needs within your WebSite X5 projects, our suggestion is to work directly with Lottie files, which are fully supported in WebSite X5. We know this is not a like-for-like replacement for WebAnimator's interactive animation capabilities, but it is the most practical path available today.
Thank you for your loyalty and your feedback over the years.
