transparent background

I have a gif (a fully functional animation that because website x5 can not handle it, i need to convert into a wax5 file) which consists of a round animation on a square transparent background. When i import it into webanimator the background is turned from transparent to white. This results in the wax5 file overlaying my website x5 image with unwanted white areas after importing it to website x5. How can i prevent WA from doing this, and make it preserve my transparent background ?

Hello renemf,

I just tested it with a gif file with transparent background and it doesn't add a white background.
Can you please send me the gif file as attachment?

Many thanks!

Hi ICC, and thanks for your help. Unfortunately the gif is at 5,846KB too large to attach, and even an MP4 version of it is too big at 647KB. Perhaps yo could just list the steps that you go through within WA for me ?
Thanks again,
Ren'e

Hello renemf,

I added the image object on the stage and then selected a gif file with transparent background and it was working correctly.
Yuo can use as example the function on http://www.wetransfer.com to generate a link and then you write me here the link you receive so I can download the GIF file you used to see on what it depends.

Many thanks!

Okay, thanks again, ICC.

Here is the link: https://we.tl/8Wq6zODs9m

I uploaded two files, one 200*200, the other 500*500 size.

I wanted to use the smaller one, but inexplicably website x5 reduces the file size considerably, so that i probably will have to go with the larger one.

Best,
René

Hello Renemf,

I gave you an example for a transparent background with Webanimator, integrated into Website X5.

http://www.beikuki.de/test-page.html

In the download you will find the Webanimator file.

Thank you very much, Oskar.

I have downloaded several times, but i keep getting the message that the rar file is corrupted (i am using WinRar).

Could you please confirm that the file is indeed in good working order ?

Thanks,
René

Days ago i have posted replies to both ICC's and Oskar007's helpful responses. None of them have shown up here, and neither has at least one, probably two of my original posts. If there are indeed administrators here in charge of approval they must be doing a rather haphazard job.

And i have similar experiences over at the X5 support forum.

What is the problem ?

Hi ICC, thanks again. The file can be found here: https://we.tl/3EYmf6aYFF.

Perhaps you can take me through the steps you perform within WA ?

Best regards,
René
