Is there a way to replace an element within my resources with another element? Thanks in advance for any help on this.

If you mean that perhaps you used a certain image and then wish to modify it in the resources tab so that it changes everywhere you used it, I'm afraid that this is not possible. You will have to add the new image and configure it in your project again
